Capture Hammersmith is a photography competition setup to celebrate London W6. The first prize is £500 of vouchers. All photos should be within W6. From the Thames river bank to its state of the art commercial hub fueled by one of London’s busiest transport junctions; W6 is easily summed up by work, rest and play. Hammersmith’s diverse cultural past is echoed in it’s equally diverse landscape. We encourage competition entrees to focus on these 3 core aspects the district can be proud of.

Portraits or daily scenes of people living in Hammersmith. W6 can boast famous Hollywood actors, world listened musicians and political goliaths, from William Morris to Tom Hardy as just a few of its Patrons. Despite all of these celebrated individuals W6 is made up of a far more diverse tribe who make the area such a great place to be.

The green spaces, the River Thames and Hammersmith’s wildlife. Mother nature has a strong foothold in W6 with natural beauty spots along the river Thames. The river feeds a plethora of wildlife on Hammersmith’s Southern border. Whereas parks and green spaces litter W6 and bring a healthy balance to city living across the entire region.

Capture the vertical growth and future of Hammersmith or celebrate its rich past. The history of W6 dates back to the 17th century with St Paul’s church still standing as a true icon in the heart of Hammersmith. Victorian buildings are surrounded by cranes lifting steel & glass, as new construction grows daily.

Prizes will be awarded to these three categories with an overall winner going to the most liked image via Instagram. As momentum grows the images will be displayed in Hammersmith and prizes given by Alex Saberi, a locally grown National Geographic Photographer,
